Confidential Bank

San Francisco, CA

Description

A Workplace Defined by Light, Performance, and Purpose

For this high-profile banking institution in San Francisco, lighting design served as the connective tissue across 57,650 square feet of multi-floor renovation. Spanning floors 36 through 42, the project reimagines the financial workplace by balancing the high-energy demands of a trading floor with the refined, calm atmosphere required for private banking and client-facing suites.

Our strategy focused on architectural clarity and visual orientation. By layering performance-driven lighting with subtle ambient cues, we created an environment that feels intuitive and grounded. Whether in the collaborative lounge areas or the focused conference facilities, the lighting responds to the specific program of the space while maintaining a consistent aesthetic language throughout the multi-level office.

Light was used as a tool for both performance and sustainability. Integrated daylight-responsive systems and occupancy sensors allow the environment to adapt dynamically to the shifting Bay Area light, ensuring efficiency without compromising comfort. This data-driven approach ensures the lighting supports the building's high-performance standards, aligning with LEED Platinum and WELL Silver certification goals.

Success relied on deep technical coordination. Working alongside the MEP and interior teams, we seamlessly integrated controls and fixtures into the complex building infrastructure. The result is a cohesive, responsive workplace where lighting reinforces brand integrity and enhances the everyday experience of both employees and clients.
